In the Spring of 2007, the Vistoso Hiking Club participated in a fund-raising drive, which was successfully completed on June 7th.

Participation in the drive was suggested by Jack Evert, and carried out by club members, with special help from Larry Wolf.

The drive raised over $13,000 to restore trials in Sabino Canyon.
The Trails, which were severely damaged by flooding in 2006, were restored
with help from the non-profit organization, the Friends of Sabino Canyon.

 Funds were contributed by members of the Hiking Club,
with matching from another non-profit, the Sun City Foundation,
 and a corporate sponsor, Pizza Hut.
