The Hiking Club Spring Picnic
is scheduled for Tuesday,
March 6th, which is also being designated as the annual meeting.
It will be held in Catalina State Park at the large group area.
The "Wine & Cheese" Party will be on Saturday, April 7th. Please read the
announcement below from Vistoso Hiking Club President Terry McFadden:

Election of Officers for next year.
The committee to select new officers for next year's hiking club board of directors
has selected the following slate of nominees for the members' consideration:
President: Max Haegele
Vice President: Gaston Meloche
Treasurer: Nick Antrobus
Chief Guide: Mike Lubatkin
Secretary: Ginny Williams
Election of new officers will take place at the annual general membership meeting of the club.
Club members can nominate other names at the annual meeting. If you wish to nominate someone
other than the current slate, be sure to check with that person to determine if he/she is willing to serve.
The current board of directors has chosen the spring picnic on March 6th
at Catalina State Park for this year's annual general membership meeting.
The newly elected officers will assume their duties on April 1, 2012.
The annual "Wine and Cheese" party will be held on April 7, 2012 but will not have a
general membership meeting. It will be an excellent time to pay dues for the upcoming
year so please bring your checkbooks. Cash will be accepted, but checks are preferred.
This announcement will be posted in the Club's Website and on the Sun City
Vistoso Website at least two weeks prior to the March 6th general membership meeting.

Club’s
Centennial Project: hiking the AZ Trail
The
club is sponsoring a series of monthly presentations, in
connection with the AZ Centennial. Each presentation is about an
historical person,
event or place. We will be privileged in having credible,
knowledgeable and recognized speakers. The presentations are open,
free of charge, to the entire community.
